Ridgeway International Australia Ltd

Ridgeway International Australia Limited (RIAL) was formed in Sydney in 1990.

The company was formed in order to assist with the regular Europe > USA > New Zealand > Australia charter sailings managed by Ridgeway International Ltd. 

The objective of the charter sailings was to collect ammunition and explosives cargoes purchased by the Governments of Australia and New Zealand in Europe and North America.  In time these sailings attracted other Government and commercial shippers of ammunition and explosives cargoes along the same route. 

When the Ridgeway International charter vessels arrive in New Zealand and Australian military ports, RIAL arranges import customs clearance and discharge from the vessel before dispatching the cargoes to their respective destinations by legally compliant and secure road transport.

RIAL was also formed to develop the market in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia for the international forwarding, storage and handling of explosives and ammunition and security classified materials. 

Since 1990 RIAL has acquired extensive experience of the movement of components for large multinational defence projects.
