Ridgeway North America Ltd
Ridgeway North America is a joint venture between Ridgeway International and a Canadian forwarding firm, whose activities stretch back over 80 years.
The Canadian firm was the shipping agent for the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration following World War II, and handled many large relief movements from Canada to Europe and Asia, which were important in the reconstruction of ravaged areas.
In the same post-war period the firm served as the first office location of the International Air Transport Association, before IATA moved to permanent quarters.
The Montreal office has in recent years become an active player in the military and defence industry logistics market. Activities include movements of explosives, ship chartering of large Roll On Roll Off (RoRo) vessels, project movements of heavy equipment, and a huge variety of complex international container and airfreight movements to and from North America.
